The Spirit of God in a man is responsible for leading him into maturity, the perfect man, the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.
The mind of Christ is in us, but functioning in His mind is not a guarantee for you. It requires a partnership, a co-laboring that results in our transfiguration.
He who joins himself to the Lord is one Spirit with the Lord. This is the intimacy with God required to be one with Him, to partner with Him. The baptism of the Spirit is the ability and gifting required to bring intimacy into manifestation. These two working together conform us into the image of Christ.
The Spirit of wisdom and revelation is the renewal of our mind. Revelation of the Word of God renews our mind. Mind renewal is synonymous with the ability to do the Word of God. This is the mind of Christ. The mind of Christ is not limited in any way in its functioning, knowing, and doing. We have been given this mind. And when we fully possess this mind, we will be mature, operating in the fullness of the Spirit, perfect representations of our elder brother, Jesus. Perfectly able to walk as He walked and conduct ourselves as He conducted himself.
When we receive the Spirit of God, He begins to lead us into all truth. As we come into truth, come into revelation, we are transformed, transfigured. This is a systematic and strategic process of the Spirit which is partnering with God’s plan to conform you into the image of Christ.
The Spirit is leading you into all truth, not the truth of your denomination. Not the truth of your father or mother. Not the truth of your spouse. Not the truth of your peers. Not the truth of culture and society. Not the truth of your own opinion. We are being led into the wisdom, understanding and revelation of becoming like, living like, operating like God himself. We are not becoming God, but we are becoming like His Son, which is a part of His long range plan in Christ.
To be changed like this requires a surrender, a leaving, a dying. Our thinking and the way we think, our own opinions, must die in order to be renewed and transformed into His likeness. A willingness to give your life and lay it down. This is the first mark of a mind set on the Spirit. A carnal mind, or a mind set on the flesh refuses to submit to God because it can’t. In fact the first step into transformation into His likeness starts with our mind.
To most, this is where the strongholds exist that oppose God. Our minds retain fantasies and beliefs that veil us from God and prevent us from the true knowledge of Him.
To be truly changed is the ability to do the Word of God. To begin changing is the ability to obtain revelation from the Word of God regarding truth. Jesus truly stated that if anyone wants to follow Him, he must lay down His life. But the laying down is for the sake of being made new. We are made new by every revelation that empowers us to do what is written.
This is the work of the Spirit, to lead a man to death and to co-labor wIth Him until the image of the Perfect Man is fully doing the works of the Perfect Man through Him.
